  1. Cuendillar chainmail would be too difficult. The individual links can NOT touch each other when converting to cuendillar, or the links will be fused together. I suppose a good channeler (or multiple channelers) could insert weaves of air between all of the links before cuendillar-fusion begins.

I agree, it would take longer to create just like regular chain mail takes longer than, say, a breast plate. You would have to turn EACH chain link into cuendillar one at a time. That is also another PRO FOR is that you have to convert one at a time. One person can weave the air to seperate that link from the links that are touching it. They can then make the transformation, let go of the air and viola. I can see someone only needing to weave 2 weaves at once. Most channelors can handle this.

  • Plate armor seems much better. Remember, cuendillar armor is TOTALLY indestructible, so you could make it paper thin. It won't bend, so you can't wear it like clothes, but you could theoretically make a sheet 1nm thick and it would withstand anything. You'd need padding of course.
  • Hinges work fine with cuendillar--like chain main, you can just make links with moving parts, similar to the hooks you see in gym equipment. Open the clasp, close it--voila.
  • I never thought about hinges before but that makes sense.
