About his luck... Does anyone still remember Liandrin and the 12 other Black Ajah sisters?

I've been rereading the books (completely randomly and suddenly) and in The Dragon Reborn, when Egwene and Nynaeve learn of the te'angreal that the black ajah stole, among them is something Nynaeve says Mat would like. Five die connected together that have the power to change luck and probability.
Now, this may be a stretch, and I see no reason for this being true whatsoever... But it seems impossible that such a coincidence could occur. Mat is mentioned (jokingly, but isn't that how all foreshadowing is done in WoT?) and associated with the ter'angreal, and Mat's most frequent chapter icon is the picture of five die. And Mat's luck only appeared a little while after the ter'angreal theft was discovered.
As I said though, I don't know why Liandrin would do such a thing, or even how she could since Mat arrived long after she left... But even if this has nothing to do with Mat, it is still an interesting ter'angreal that I don't believe we have seen mentioned in any of the other books. What became of it? It seemed like a curious thing though, so I'm mentioning it here.

Key to the final battle is in Matt's first "Lucky" incident.

That's the first time we see it overtly. But there is nothing to say it wasn't there before

The second seems much more likely, and in keeping with the series.

No - Mat has always been lucky, winning more than losing.
