I ordered it for my brother as a gift. I paid extra to have it sharpened. A few minutes after my brother received it, he sent a picture of the curtains his wife had just bought. They had a wide slash across the middle. He said he barely swung it. So yeah its worth it. I've seen it since and it is superb
