Two months after publication and I have yet to see any of you "theorize" over this passage:

Where are the speculations as to what role the Dragon plays in the Epic of Gilgamesh? C'mon, people! Speculate! It's what you do best around here, right? :P

I mean, OK, Gilgamesh, but what else? I spent about five minutes trying to think of an ancient Sumerian city that Far Madding or one of the other names for it listed there could be, some relevance that might be possessed by the Guardian or general intractability, but apart from the already well known Babel story that has no other apparent significance to Randland, I got nothin'. I can't see it as anything more than a throwaway line to yet again underscore RJs take on Eternal Return. Sorry if I'm missing something there, but if so you'll have to tell me what. :confused:
