If Perrin affected Rand's subconscious from TAR, Rand's epiphany would've been trivialized but the way Sanderson wrote it Perrin role was pretty superfluous to the both their stories.
But it was trivialized by what Perrin witnessed. The darkness and light affecting Rand were both external to his mind and soul. It's easy to take the further step that Perrin might have had an impact on their relative power.I think Jordan originally meant for both their scene to occur together and for Perrin to participate in Rand's debate with himself. He would probably have been the Pattern's advocate showing the good things in life within the Pattern.
I very much doubt that. Mind you, I think Veins of Gold was badly written in a number of ways (and that Men Dream Here was entirely superior) but we gather from both POVs that Rand is in Tel'aran'rhiod and finally comes into communion with his previous lives. That's too central to the series to be a mistake (especially if Nynaeve resurrects Rand by ripping him from TAR); just having a chat with Perrin wouldn't be as important as VOG/MDH was meant to be.

Second time Perrin must be there for Rand vs Two times Aes Sedai may hurt him

Don't like this since Perrin is FINALLY in the same room as Rand. One should happen now *NM*

I'm still of the opinion that Rand is headed towards the same disaster LTT did
