We can be almost certain the note was written in honesty by Fel. The closing comment "Don't bring girl next time. Too pretty." is very distinctive. It was something only Fel could have said and understood.

And there was no one spying on Rand's meetings with Fel? The fact that they killed him just when he likely figured out something important speaks to the contrary...


Fel's story is almost a cornerstone in the WoT story while this recent Egwene dream is anything but. Twisting Fel's (and Min's and Rand's) storyline to justify Egwene's dream would great undermine the Story.

Besides, the Shadow has never been very subtle. They wouldn't have managed your supposed shenanigans.
