Ruled not by King or Queen but by an Empress (not Emperor?). Traveled back to their homeland to once again reclaim what they view to be rightfully theirs.

It's clear you don't like the Seanchan but why? From your posts in this thread it is clear you don't agree with them ideologically. Do not kings and queens hold a dictatorship over their lands? Why does an empress in Seanchan suddenly make them evil?

Those people they enslave are the ones they fear. Male channelers are sent to their death or gentled by many different "cultures" in Randland because they are feared. This is the same thing the Seanchan are doing with female channelers. Controlling that which they fear and turning them into weapons. From the Seanchan point of view, there is nothing wrong with this and is indeed one of only two options, enslave or kill.

Elayne has it right in trying (half-heartedly it seems) to convince the Seanchan in the error of their ways. To fight them would achieve nothing but more destruction, to educate them will lead to peace.

Invaders to the people allied with Rand, saviours to the people living in the countries they now hold, and sons and daughters returning home from a long trip abroad to the Seanchan themselves.

Maybe try to see things from a different perspective.
