There's already an IMDB page for TEotW and debate about whether it will REALLY be out next year.

One person has stated in the WoT FB group that since they haven't already begun filming it CAN'T be out next year, but I don't think it a given that no filming has begun just because everyone in the fan base hasn't heard about it yet. A Christmas release still seems possible even then; TLotR, HP, and Narnia may have convinced Hollywood that fantasy films MUST be released ONLY at Christmas. What they've definitely done, however, is convince Hollywood that very popular fantasy series can be cash cows, and that was really all that held back the flood of fantasy movies we can expect now. Since WoT hype will only build in the months leading up to AMoL I think it's a question of if, not when. Best format would probably be to try and double up each book; even then we're looking at seven feature films, but I don't see any way to do fourteen; the actors would age too much to be convincing in a story that spans about two years.

If WOT were to be made into a movie series, how many would you like to see?

Personally I'd rather see WOT adapted into a HBO/Starz cable series, like Game of Thrones. *NM*

Meh. Saying "if" won't change the fact that it won't. You're living in a fantasy world man! *NM*

This is an exercise in futility. WoT will not be made into a movie, so why waste energy on ...

agreed, I fear we would all have to lower expectations somewhat, CG in it would be awesome though *NM*

It's already in "graphic novel" form. The comic books are released bimonthly or sumthin like that.

A Tetralogy for theatrical; a mini-series with CGI as an ideal release

I can confirm that Warner has the rights on an already adapted screenplay!

I've said all along, it could never be done justice so I hope they never try. That includes T.V. *NM*
