I don't think any fan would be happy with that though. Considering the ending is hopefully going to be "great" it would feel somewhat wrong to end it with book 3's ending. Unless of course the actually ending can be retrofitted somehow.
For me anything less than 5 movies will just be a disservice to the whole WOT universe. I think the books could have be completed in 8 books, and on screen chapters of braid tugging can be covered in a few seconds, 5-7 is possible on screen.
Having said all that putting it on the big screen might ruin it anyway. Although I'd defo go and see them all regardless. Then come here and complain afterwards

If WOT were to be made into a movie series, how many would you like to see?

Personally I'd rather see WOT adapted into a HBO/Starz cable series, like Game of Thrones. *NM*

Meh. Saying "if" won't change the fact that it won't. You're living in a fantasy world man! *NM*

This is an exercise in futility. WoT will not be made into a movie, so why waste energy on ...

agreed, I fear we would all have to lower expectations somewhat, CG in it would be awesome though *NM*

It's already in "graphic novel" form. The comic books are released bimonthly or sumthin like that.

A Tetralogy for theatrical; a mini-series with CGI as an ideal release

I can confirm that Warner has the rights on an already adapted screenplay!

I've said all along, it could never be done justice so I hope they never try. That includes T.V. *NM*

There's already an IMDB page for TEotW and debate about whether it will REALLY be out next year.
