He's more stable now (and this makes sense) but we see in the Epilogue that he isn't immune to bad emotions (eg his feelings about Lanfear). And this is specifically called out by Min as unresolved - there seems to be a good chance he is just keeping it under control better. When he crossed BF streams with Moridin, something more permanent happened.
How will Rand defeat the DO - dead
It's now all figured out now that Zen Rand is here with his My Little Pony magical Starlight Care Bear Powers!
Where do you get this from? He was breaking apart before because he had nothing to live for. Then he found something. Pretty straightforward. Now he's returned to the Path which he would have taken if he hadn't started becoming so distrustful in LoC. LoC was where things really went south inside Rand's head (mainly due to his kidnapping).
