Rand is not showing anything unusual for his character. I have not seen him develop any powers he did not have since book 1, only develop the strength of them which makes total sense.
Oh, he had Light Powers in book 1? I must have misread that book since according to you I have a reading disability. Yes, let me go re read book 1, I do recall Rand using Light Powers a lot, oh yes.
Yeah, apples always grew from nowhere when Rand was running around in book 1.
And the thing is, berk, you're not only upset with one or two characters, or a few plot lines. You seem genuinely upset at a great deal of major elements within the books. That's usually grounds for discontinuing reading a book series.
Just because watching a car crash may not be enjoyable to see doesn't mean you can take your eyes away from it. The series went downhill several books ago, yet I've already invested too much to not be curious to see it end - already. AND there are many characters I like reading, and some I like reading sometimes, other times not.

If you didn't get Rand's transformation, you're not the intended audience...

Yeah, while you're busy not believing that, you should believe in things like the One Power too.

I would be unhappy with that ending because the Creator has never worked directly.

If Rand was one of the supporting heroes, maybe. But he's the "messiah" character

Actually, it's got zilch to do with "good" or "evil".

We haven't had a Rand POV, so I don't think you can say for certain that it's random.
