Rand intends to meet with everyone, and then go and break the seals immediately afterward. That means that the book literally ends on the eve of the Last Battle!
All that's left is for everyone to meet and get their bickering out of the way, for something to be done about the Seanchan, for something to be done about the Black Tower, and for the actual Last Battle to occur. Maybe if this was still Jordan writing that would leave very little time for the Last Battle segment, but Sanderson's writing (despite all its negatives, like sometimes being forced, and rushed, and unfamiliar with the characters) gets things done, and gets them done fast. So if anything, I'm worried that there will be too much time for the Last Battle. Because I'm really not looking forward to 400 pages just for the one day of the battle. Or for the last book of the series to be substantially shorter than all the other ones. So I don't think there will be any need for things to get rushed. There is plenty of time for everything.

About not sensing gholam. Nobody sensed him. It's the ability of the thing, I think *NM*

Yes. I personally would've liked all that to be more detailed.

8/10. Fairly solid plotwise with some great moments but structurally flawed. *NM*

It was ok. Not brilliant but certainly better than a lot of the middle ones.

Solid but not great continuation of the series, both exciting and flawed
