well I'd have to re-read cause the impression I had was of it taking him some concentration the last time he talked about writing anything. Whether or not his result was different descriptions of his aptitude fit the letter in TOM. Like I said you don't have to be child of 7 to have trouble spelling. You have to care about spelling in order to spell correctly. Mat has made it clear that he generally doesn't care.
