I think you're making my point for me guttering flame Send a noteboard - 02/12/2010 06:34:17 AM
It had nothing to do with money and all about appearances. Henry VII was a boring, drab, economist. Henry VIII was a grand king and conquerer, titled by the Pope (well until the whole religious mess) and a Valiant King of the People!!! (*snort* as I said...appearances) And you know how people love a drama...his wives would have been reason for sighing and twittering from village wives. Oh it's so ROMANTIC!!!

Additionally, who says that these lords and ladies were even LIKED by their Andor-men? Or that their soldiers even supported her for more reasons than obligation? Just because you stand behind someone's banner doesn't mean you believe in their cause. General Lee didn't have a strong belief in the South's cause, but he fought, and fought hard, for the South because it was his home.

Being a grand spendthrift conquerer makes you more loved than taking care of your lands sensibly. Ipso facto these gals were doing the right thing.

Notice how people liked Henry VIII more than they liked Henry VII - 01/12/2010 11:15:03 AM 870 Views
because of his "Kingly" behavior, in comparison to VII's lack thereof. - 01/12/2010 08:26:26 PM 936 Views
