Mine were:

2. Perrin fighting Slayer and the BA with every edge he has (blocking Balefire FTW) and still losing... he got the Dreamspike, but it still felt a lot like Star Wars: A New Hope where Obi Wan (Hopper) dies to let Luke (Perrin) get away with the Princess (Dreamspike). One of the better fight scenes in the series.

4. Rand's MoA in Chapter 2 ("Apples";). I literally got the shivers when he said "I can hold him off, for a time". Something about that scene was epic.

Close contenders:

* Nynaeve's testing. Intense.
* Rand's smackdown of Cadsuane (loved the "Rand Sedai" comment).

Yes yes yes! I could read "A Making" a thousand times. When Neald barks that he needs a circle, I knew we were in for a treat and a half. But that last bit when he rams the wolf ornamentation onto the hammer and asks how to say "He Who Soars"... uh, yeah. Amazing. And once again, having had my own "Hopper" may explain why I'm so involved in that storyline, but not really. It's just incredible. Plus, the part with Noam was effing brilliant. Perrin laying his hand on Boundless' head, and sending out that scent was lovely. Total bawling moments, all of them.

I love the moment with Cadsuane. Rand totally nailed her, and not in that nasty, detached way he was so fond of there for awhile. Him suggesting Rand "Sedai" was perfect, as was just busting out of the gate with "I'm four hundred years old!". He's really throwing his weight around in a fantastic way in this book.

Nynaeve's testing was crazy, but I enjoyed the end result. I already loved the woman, but good god, she just became the ultimate in coolness. She really stood up for herself, and challenged the entire jackass system in one go. "If you want to raise me, you'll just have to trust that my grown ass knows when to balefire and when not to" and "Being calm and letting children be tortured is just selfish" were two of my favorite bits from after her testing. Thank god that Egwene intervened for her, but if these women need to be reminded of how monumental her accomplishments are, they have lost their wits. "You might have cleansed saidin, but your One Power confetti weave was not the proper color. Denied." - wtf?!

Others moments I enjoyed were:

* Aviendha's journey through the columns. That was terrifying, but also kinda neat, as we got to see those Dragon babies in action, even if they were sucky people...

* "If you ever meet a Malkieri, you tell him Jain Farstrider died clean!" - hats off, my friend!

* Mat taking his eyeball plucking like a champion, basically telling them to come on and get it over with, then refusing healing (whatever his reasons).

* Rand showing Egwene who the real damned boss is. That little Salidar dufus ain't got jack on the Tamyrlin!

And one can never forget Almen Bunt. Hot damn. The old farmer who talks smack about Myrddraal! Love him, and was super glad to see him back, hehe.
