We see that the new Rand has a strong effect on dark friends. In Tear, the two DFs can stand to look him in the face. In Saldea, while battling the horde with the OP, he burns the eyes out of a DF's head even though he is a distance away.
Couldnt Rand fix the DF problem in the Black Tower by simply going there? Wouldnt he basically incapacitate any and all DFs there?

I think Rand does not think so:
"I have been unable to Travel there," Rand said. "That implies great trouble, worse than I had feared. Use this weave. It can disguise you. Travel to a place a day's ride outside, and ride in, hiding yourself. See what you can discover. Help if you can, and when you find Logain and those loyal to him, deliver him a message for me."
"What message, my Lord?"
Rand looked distant. "Tell them that I was wrong. Tell them that we're not weapons. We're men. Perhaps it will help. Take care. This could be dangerous. Bring me word. I will need to fix things there, but I could easily stumble into a trap more dangerous than any I've avoided so far. Problems ... so many problems that need fixing. And only one of me. Go in my place, Naeff, for now. I need information."
His words about a trap more dangerous than any he has faced certainly seem to suggest that he thinks going there himself could be fatal. Since light!Asha'man are unlikely to try to murder the Dragon Reborn, he must be thinking of darkfriends here. The fact that LTT might well recognize a dreamspike, would further lead Rand to consider forsaken involvement.
We know that the Dark One can link to you with somekind of black wire/cord if you are a channeler, and that connection was used by the DO to protect his chosen from the taint. It makes sense that most of the Asha'man who became black before the cleansing would have had that connection put in place, and even afterwards new dark!Asha'man could have done that too as a sort of tradition and as a way of keeping control and preventing them from defecting and betraying the others. A sort of Asha'man version of the Black Ajahs dark oaths.
It makes sense that being so tightly connected to the DO, might offer these asha'man some protection from Rand even in his newfound state. Rand himself certainly seems to think so since he approaches the whole BT so carefully with Naeff going to spy, rather than just walking in and blasting the whole place with light as you suggest. This would also explain why Rand probably won't be able to destroy Moridin and Demandred this way. They too will be too tightly bound to the DO. Though I wonder if the female forsaken such as Moghedien/Cyndane might not find it difficult, since they are not linked to the DO so directly.
I will say that even so, his avoidance of the BT was annoying. Yes, it might be dangerous, but so was going to Far Madding where he was unable to defend himself with the OP. Even if he won't be able to just expose all darkfriends instantly, he can apparently channel on a level he could not before, and he has LTT's full skill so he should be able to defend himself, even if he is ambushed by Taim and his lackies. Especially since he has his own Asha'man and Aes Sedai who are loyal to him, and potentially even Callandor.
He really should have done something about the BT, there certainly seemed to be time to do something. Rand kept talking about having so little time, but he did not really seem to do all that much in this book in the end. I certainly hope he has lots of plans in place that happened offscreen and which we will learn in the final book, or I will be majorly disappointed.

I think that the BT needs to remain corrupted until the Last Battle.
