1. Matts letter.
I find this letter to be less than credible. Matt is not uneducated, nor is he a fool. I find it almost impossible to believ that a character with an inate understanding of tactics and strategy combined with the memories of hundreds of generals, would be so completely ignorant of how to spell, write and most of all the game of houses.

Mat is considered less literate... And in all cases it's important to remember that he's the kind of guy that tries to look dumb occasionally because it shows how much he doesn't care.
2. Elayne interrogating the black ajah.
Aside from the blatant disregard for tower law, how silly I found the whole premis; the appearance of this scene so far after the white tower is cleansed in tGS and also after an Egewne pov that features Elayne in which the tower has already been clensed makes this scene annoying, out of place and dificult to reconcile with the overall story..

After? time for me to read again cause I'm pretty sure Egwene doesn't see Elayne or Nynaeve until after her attempted interogation. Also how was she in violation of Tower law. She didn't cause any pain and her impersonation of a Forsaken was the one way she could get around the apparent oath that the BA takes to not tell others about active Darkfriend plots.
3. Nynaeve healing the madness.
Seems a little to blaisé and off the cuff. Something that had stumped Aes Sedai for thousands of years healed in a moment of inspiration. I might be nit picking here, but when Nynaeve healed stilling it was after months of frustrating research with Logain..

But the whole episode with Logain was due to an increase in her Delving skills. When she broke the threshold with Logain that just left here with further thresholds to break not a return to her original level for each ailment. there's also no telling that it was much of a threshold. It COULD have required the same depth of perception but just a new way of thinking about what she was seeing.
4. Perrins Magic hammer..
It's a Powerwrought weapon. There is no reason to believe there is anything special about it. And even if it is, it's Power wrought. The unclear "burning" could mean it's a ter'angreal or that power wrought weapons behave differently in the hands of their makers.
5. Ituralde.
All of his scenes. I just don't rate him as a character. I just find him a kind of a redundant, second, Bashere. Coupled with his Ateam style "tactics" and the poorly written battle scenes he was really annoying.

to each his own on the liking of a character but... the A-Team was an awesome show.
So what were your bottom five ToM scenes?

I love Ituralde, slightly A-teamish but better more realistic than most of the stuff in there *NM*

+1, given the casualties on the Light side, I don't see what's A-Teamish? *NM*

Well I'm pretty sure he wrote it out himself. I doubt that's a detail RJ would have outlined.

Mat isn't 7, & he wrote a perfectly fluent letter in a matter of minutes under pressure from a noble

That is what made me think Mat wrote the letter that way on purpose.
