there might be errors and a few more questionable scenes in the book, but awkwardly resurrecting Graendal just to have her carry on a plan that did not actually require her, failing, and have her being killed as a punishment... well, that would be so much over the line that I don't even want to consider it.

That said, there is really no indication at all that she would have been killed instead of taken to SG, as Shannow pointed out.
