I am not easily emotionally affected by the Wot books, but the sight of the proud Aiel and their fierce warrior culture reduced to pathetic scavengers was heartbreaking to read.

I don't understand why is everybody so affected by the destruction of the Aiel culture, and almost nobody seems to give any thought about the destruction of the Wetlander culture!

It's not the fall of the Aiel that is devastating for me: it's the fall of every-fucking-one. They all fall to the Seanchan in that vision. It's not about the Aiel: it's about everyone!

It seems clear to me that Rand bowing to the Seanchan Empress is the cause of all the problems... - 28/11/2010 09:06:50 AM 1031 Views

I was out-disturbed by the mass suicide of the Amayar, but this was disturbing in a different way - 28/11/2010 02:38:38 PM 826 Views

Hence why I said "utilitarian". It's far from ethical or just. - 29/11/2010 12:20:03 AM 781 Views
