They aren't invaders. It's explicity explained that they are coming home. Lord Haart Send a noteboard - 28/11/2010 02:35:20 PM
In fact, Seandar was the invaded country. Luthair Paendrag took his army over there, established an empire, then brought it back.

And Rand himself realized that the Seanchan empire is not a bad place to be, except for 3 things:

1. Single absolute ruler (albeit currently a benevolent dictatorship)
2. Da'covale
3. Damane

Take those away, replace the damane and da'covale with the AOL definition of Aes Sedai and Aiel (basically servants of all), and you have a pretty awesome society. Not sure how to go about replacing the Empress though... Mat and Tuon will need to be better parents IMO.

It seems clear to me that Rand bowing to the Seanchan Empress is the cause of all the problems... - 28/11/2010 09:06:50 AM 1007 Views

Aviendha's visions were the most disturbing scene I have ever read in the entire Wot series... - 28/11/2010 02:16:36 PM 1102 Views
I was out-disturbed by the mass suicide of the Amayar, but this was disturbing in a different way - 28/11/2010 02:38:38 PM 804 Views

Hence why I said "utilitarian". It's far from ethical or just. - 29/11/2010 12:20:03 AM 757 Views
