Great points... - Edit 1

I had forgotten that Neald and Grady had actually tied of gateways themselves earlier in the books. So this is a clear mistake from Sanderson, no doubt about it.

Another Forsaken related issue that bugged me was the amount of knowledge Egwene was able to get about Mesaana's comparative One Power ability to the other Forsaken, from old records in the Tower.

This is particularly unlikely given the fact that even the Forsaken themselves seem to have inaccurate assumptions about one another's abilities.

The chance that Egwene would be able to learn from fragments of ancient records that Mesaana wasn't one of the most skilled or powerful in the One Power among the Forsaken is highly improbable, given how secretive the Forsaken are about such things.

Anyway, there's much more that struck me as weird in this book. I'll post it as I go along.
