I agree with most of it, and where I disagree I can certainly see how it turn out the way you interpreted it. Good job.

Thanks.

The rebellious nations shall be laid barren, their children caused to weep.

In addition to what you wrote it is probably a foreshadowing to what will happen if the Shadow is victorious.

I am not so sure. The general consensus seems to be that Moridin is right and the forsaken are wrong. In other wrongs, if the Shadow is victorious, there will be no weeping children, because there will not BE children, period. The DO will unmake the reality itself, utterly destroying everything.

There shall be none but Him, and those who have turned their eyes to His majesty.

Spoils go to the victor and his allies.

Same here as above. If this contained just the first part, it would make sense, but everything suggests that if the DO truly wins, there will be NO survivors. Moridin seems to believe that not even he, the one who is most loyal to the DO will be spared.

Though I suppose it might refer to the time between the opening of the bore by Rand, and the DO's ultimate victory (and the resulting destruction of the universe).

Yea, and the Broken Wolf, the one whom Death has known, shall fall and be consumed by the Midnight Towers. And his destruction shall bring fear and sorrow to the hearts of men, and shall shake their very will itself.

Here's the problem for me... the one main character to be referred to as a blacksmith is Perrin. But he is also the one that is most tightly linked to the wolves. So the Fallen Blacksmith and the Broken Wolf could be one and the same. Moridin even refers to him as the 'wolf'. And his death will certainly result in the things mentioned.

He is a wolf to be sure, but like I said, he is not broken. Ofcourse something could happen yet. I am also not sure if Perrins death would truly bring fear and sorrow to the hearts of men. I mean we know that the death of a ta'veren linked to Rand would be a major catastrophe, but the people in WoT do not. Rand and those around him and Perrin's forces would be devastated, but I simply do not see it having a major impact on the world as a whole. Perrin is too unknown.

But yeah, it could be Perrin even so.

And then, shall the Lord of the Evening come.

This seems straightforward enough. Lord of the Morning, Lord of the Evening. There's plenty of examples that Moridin likes to emphasize the 'two champions' and this is likely another one. Could even be an addition by Ishamael/Moridin to show his own importance. If the Light's Prophecies have been tampered with, why not the Dark's?

The light's prophecies have not really been tampered with all that much. Ishamael managed to corrupt the Seanchan version of the prophecies, but the ones available to Rand are true.

Furthermore, in ToM we learn that Moridin is prettymuch the only one aware of the contents of the prophecies. Graendal first learned of them in ToM and she was utterly shocked. Why would Moridin add a false line to a dark prophecy, if HE is the only one to ever read it. As such we can expect that the prophecy is unaltered, and that a Lord of the Evening will indeed rise up to challenge Rand.

And He shall take our eyes, for our souls shall bow before Him, and He shall take our skin, for our flesh shall serve Him, and He shall take our lips, for only Him will we praise.

The DO dominates. He doesn't trust, he doesn't believe in you, he wants and demands to KNOW that all that you are submits to Him and Him alone. This segment is just particularly graphic.

Except that the way this passage follows right after the one about the Lord of the Evening, it seems that its LotE that does all this, rather than the Dark One himself. If we assume that Moridin is Rand's opposite and the Lord of the Evening, then how will Moridin do all that (Take the eyes, skin, flesh and lips of darkfriends)

Still, it could mean what you suggest, and that the DO will totally mess up the darkfriends after the Lord of the Evening comes. Perhaps when that happens, the DO will not need the darkfriends anymore.

And the Lord of the Evening shall face the Broken Champion, and shall spill his blood and bring us the Darkness so beautiful.

Lord of the Evening vs Lord of the Morning, Rand vs Moridin/Ishamael and the equivalent of the Light's:

Yeah.

One interesting thing that I just thought of, is that the prophecy claims that "And then, shall the Lord of the Evening come.". However Moridin and Shaidar Haran are already here. So if we assume that Lord of the Evening is one of them, how can they "come" to the scene after the seals are broken, since they are already here!

One possibility is that when the seals are broken, Moridin will change in some way. I mean Rand is demonstrating some pretty unexpected abilities right now. His presence drives the DO away and causes the sun to shine on the world around him. Darkfriends cannot look at him anymore, and he can apparently draw on light somehow to amplify his channeling. He is also protected from the madness of the taint by what appears to be a shield of light in his mind.

It is possible that Rand has truly become the Lord of the Morning by reaching enlightenment and in doing so gained these extra powers.

Maybe that will happen to Moridin too. Maybe once Rand breaks the seals, Moridin too will gain some powers that might oppose those of Rand. Maybe after the seals are broken, Moridin will instead thicken the clouds, amplifying the darkness. He might cause all food to rot faster around himself and possibly gain the ability to control darkfriends or such that I suggested earlier. Basically, Rand has "ascended" to a new level, and Moridin will follow suit, and in doing so truly become the Lord of the Evening.

Let the screams begin, O followers of the Shadow. Beg for your destruction!

I think this is what Ishamael/Moridin has been aiming at. Enjoy life while you can, if the DO breaks free it'll be the end of all.

Yep. I wonder why Graendal was so accepting of this. I mean Moridin has been keeping these dark prophecies extremely secret, but he showed this one to Graendal. I mean she read a prophecy from her OWN side, that basically told her that once the side she is on wins, its time to start screaming and begging for destruction. And she does not seem to have a problem with that? Why the heck did she not run away from the DO screaming.
