Allow me to continue my analysis/rant of the TAR battles involving these two Forsaken. To a lesser extent, I think one can include Lanfear too.
...
The obvious reason is that none of this was thought of in the earlier books, and that BS introduced a new aspect of TAR that we haven't really explored. However, for the time being, I think Mesaana has been shown to be the greatest of the Forsaken dreamwalkers considering she uses the most logical tactic to overwhelm an opponent, which appears to work instantly.
I basically agree with your entire Mesaana vs Moghedien stance and think you have it pretty much right on point.
However, I would argue that just because something isn't spelled out for us in detail early on doesn't mean that the entire concept wasn't already fleshed out. The Rahvin vs Rand battle back in TFoH,Ch55 illustrate that RJ was already firmly entrenched in the 'mind over everything' concept for TAR strength and ability. But that's just my thought...
And I personally think Lanfear would destroy them all. But again, just my thought...

It may simply come down to the fact that Moghedien uses T'A'R for different purposes

But, if you look at the scene, Mesaana didn't really do anything.

I don't think that was the first time was saw a mental battlefield, it was just more subtle.
