I spent the first third of the book thinking about when we'd find out Asmo's killer, but then got caught up in the story and forgot about that. When I got to the part where Graendal was accused of three Forsaken deaths, I even stopped and thought to myself "Hmm, Mesaana, Aran'gar...who else?" I was too excited to finish, though, so I left it and read on.
Wasn't until I started reading posts on here just now that it clicked.
Anyways. I loved it. Great set-up book. Some really cool scenes. As I write this, I'm debating my favourite...I think I have to go with Aviendha's trip to Rhuidean (although I agree with a post I saw somewhere here saying it should have been in tGS pre-New Rand.) But the battle sequence in T'A'R at the WT was excellent also. And Moiraine's rescue...yeah, there were quite a few.
Nothing new here. Just felt like posting, because I just finished and am still full of adrenaline from having finished a new WoT book.
