The seals are made of Cuendillar. They know how to make them. They have a fucking Cuendillar producing factory at the White Tower (Leane Sharif, Egwene, Bodewhin Cauthon). Seriously, how much more knowledge do they need to know about the seals? Not to mention everyone knows the seals are cumbling. Rand, Perrin, Elayne, Egwene, Moiraine, Cadsuane, Taim, Bashere …everyone but Bela knows about it.



I feel like we’re going in circles - the seals have to be destroyed regardless what you want to do. If you want to reseal the bore, you have to destroy the old seals anyway. In Randland, It’s only a guess that the Pattern could unravel if the Dark One broke free of his prison altogether, there’s no hard evidence that will happen right away once he’s free. If the Dark One wins TG, then yes, the world is doomed. But if he’s resealed in his prison, or outright killed, likely the pattern will be safe.



What better idea did she want to come up with? Egwene didn't ask Rand why the seals needed to be broken, and obviously Rand knew she would knee jerk oppose him like she did.



For the 100th fucking time, I’m not bothered with Egwene gathering world leaders to try and persuade Rand. I’m bothered that she doesn’t have any sort of alternative idea on what they should do instead. Why is this so difficult to understand? This really is the problem with Egwene, she has great many opinions, but seems to have little real world knowledge. It’s a valid criticism of the character.



Let’s just get something straight, the Wise Ones are going to follow whatever ZenRand wants to do. That’s pretty much a sure thing at this point, the only question is, what does ZenRand intend to do. We’ll likely find out at the meeting.



What did she propose?????? She didn’t propose anything, and that’s the point, I want to her to actually propose an alternative plan.



I’ll say again, since you’re not bothering reading any of my replies. It’s entirely up to the individual reader’s point of view, just because there are readers who don’t think she’s the best thing to happen since sliced bread, it doesn’t make their criticism of the character any less valid. Especially when there are fair and valid criticisms to make - You have your opinion, other readers have theirs.



Well she has a month to find the answers. Not to mention that in that short 2 week span, Siuan has already called her the greatest Amyrlin of all time. Well, since she’s the greatest of all time, finding an alternative plan shouldn’t be too difficult. She certainly hasn’t done anything with her time in this book in finding an alternative plan, Just sayin.



Mat doesn’t need to have the answers - that’s not his responsibility, he doesn’t really care to have them. People like Mat because he’s a funny character.

Again Nyneave doesn’t presume to have all the answers. She’s not the fucking Amyrlin Seat. She’s not interested in guiding the world. She just wants to help people, whether it’s Rand, Egwene or whoever. And let’s be honest, she has done far more, contributed so much, then any other female character in this series. That’s why people like her. I know this may be difficult for some Egwene Apologist to accept, but there are female characters that have actually done more the Egwene. Blasphemy! I know, but it’s true.



I’d hardly call saying someone’s name disrespecting. Slapping an Amrylin, sure, I think Cadsuane has done that a few times during her career, and those Amrylins got over it. But I don’t find Nyneave disrespecting Egwene intentionally or purposefully. Nynaeve has largely been trained or self trained outside of the Tower, and given her attitude going in I didn’t find her behavior all that surprising. Egwene hasn't really learned the lesson the other characters have; one of humility and their own flaws. She's incredibly formal with even those closest to her, and even those who love her. She demands deference and obedience but doesn't seem willing to reach out to those who used to be close to her. In fact when Nyneave disagrees with her, Egwene is like "She disagreed with me? Rand must be using his taver'en abilities to twist her mind. There's no way that a free thinking person can disagree with me because I'm always right by definition". Maybe Egwene needs to get together with Richard Rahl so the two of them can sit down and complain about how stupid everyone in the world who's not them is.

Besides, you still haven’t answered my question, Is the title of the Dragon Reborn any less deserving of respect? It’s okay to disrespect Rand but it’s not okay to disrespect Egwene? A tiny double standard there.
