A bit disappointed at the storyline about the Black Tower. Would have liked to see Logain and a bit more closure on that storyline.
What can I say, this book made me actually like Perrin again after a long while. That was handled superbly. Mat was handled in an awesome way as well and Rand was just superb in this book. It was just so fulfilling to read about the three lads finally getting it together as real men and pretty much balanced and ready for the Last Battle.
Didn't much care about the Galad, Gawyn plotlines but I guess they needed to be wrapped up. From earlier books, what with all the dreams about Gawyn and whatnot I thought perhaps his storyline would be a bit more dramatic and expected to see at least some sort of confrontation of him and Rand where Rand puts him on his place after he shows him Morgase alive, instead of Gawyn just deciding well it's over between us. Well I guess they just needed to be wrapped up more quickly.
I wouldve actually liked to see Asunawa more humiliated and see the actual battle where the Whitecloacks turn on him in a way that could actually make some of them seem more human and deserving of being in Perrin's army.
I mean I guess if I start nitpicking I could go on and on but the thing is that this book flowed very easily. If you reread the previous book where Tam explains about Morgase then the timeline won't bother you at all. I was surprised at how quickly I finished reading it and I wanted another 1000 to read. I want more.
I really think that the last book could be divided in 2 parts published within a month or two apart. I do need at least another 2000 pages of good stuff so that I don't feel any more things are rushed a bit, Moiraine deserves much much more in the upcoming books and with all the other characters and stories it would take about that many pages to make me satisfied I think.
Other than that it was just great to finally get to the LB and can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend it.

About not sensing gholam. Nobody sensed him. It's the ability of the thing, I think *NM*

Yes. I personally would've liked all that to be more detailed.

8/10. Fairly solid plotwise with some great moments but structurally flawed. *NM*

I'll buy that (mostly ). Got a good beat and I can dance to it; I give it a 7.

It was ok. Not brilliant but certainly better than a lot of the middle ones.

Solid but not great continuation of the series, both exciting and flawed
