Like Ishamael was a renowned philosopher, Graendal was a great sage, Semirhage was a healer, Lanfear was a unsurpassed gold-digger :P, Belal was a judge(???) and so on.

What was LTT good at? How did he become leader of the Aes Sedai? Was it because he was most proficient with the One Power? In what sense? What could he do with it that others could not?

Summoning the Nine Rods of Dominion, the rulers of AoL Randland. The Tamrylin or head of the Aes Sedai Order, as the First among Servants. He led the Armies of the Light against the Shadow. I say he was a politician and, eventually, a General.

Sometimes I wonder if he was just like the current Amrylins/Aes Sedai.
Isn't everyone in WoT re-born?
