We have reason to believe that Moridin has been making a lot of them up--especially the writings scrawled on the wall back in TSR (or whenever that was). Ishamael was screwing with Rand.

Of course, this was before RJ really had a solid grasp of the metaphysical nature of the Pattern. We've heard a lot about the Dark Prophecy. But the DO isn't called the Father of Lies for nothing. There is no "Dark One's Creation" counterpart--he wants the complete and utter destruction of Creation. Chaos is by definition unpredictable, and it doesn't seem natural that a Dark Prophecy could exist--something that predicts the future should Shai'tan succeed.
