Well, on second thought, could it be that the Red Veils are not corrupted by the DO but by Fain and his new insanabilities?
My thought on the Red Veils were that they were clearly Aiel with the mention of the veils and shorter spears and they came in contact with Fain. Also if you think back to Fain's prologue he really is fixated on the Red and Black colors. Half of what he thinks revolves around that red below and black above. Also when he turns his prey with the mashadar like tentacles of power, the shadowspawn come out being physically deformed. It seems like a small leap to assume that something similar would happen to the Aiel he encounters as well and that explains the teeth. The Shadow seems to like to preserve the appearance of his dread lords and darkfriends so far. So IMHO as the Shadow does a much better than expected job of getting his forces into Randland for the the last battle, Fain is building a nice dagger to the throat of SG.
My theory on the remaining missing players for the light is that Moiriane, Mat, and Thom will arrive back in Andor right about the same time Elayne discovers her throne is being used as kindle for a trolloc cook pot. Rand will help liberate the city of Caemlyn when the Lightside army social is over and pick up Mat or direct him back to the collective army of the wetlands as the primo general. Avienda will use her bond with Rand to re-unite with him and help him understand what is at stake with the Seanchan and the strategy to bring them in to the LB instead of force a cease fire.
And Perrin is already at Merrilor when Rand shows up!
