Right, but I couldn't recall if she also had to ask about her mother. *NM* RandAllThor Send a noteboard - 10/11/2010 02:37:10 PM
In Aviendha’s visions in Rhuidean it’s clear that Rand will win TG. However, it’s also implied that that he and his wives will survive TG. Rand will then install the “Dragon’s Peace” and after everything (except for the Aiel’s fate) is arranged, “left” them (IIRC, Aviendha’s daughter mentions Rand "leaving" the Aiel alone, while it’s never said that Rand or his women died). Apparently also Aviendha isn’t there anymore among the Aiel then.

For this, I believe that Rand and his wives will leave the WoT world with the Ogier some time after TG. It’s pretty clear that the Ogier have to use the Book of Translation then to leave the WoT world and return to their homeworld after TG (Ogier also aren’t mentioned in Aviendha’s visions). Rand, his wives and perhaps a few other worthy characters could be allowed to accompany the Ogier to live a peaceful life without any bothering human affairs on the Ogier home world. Maybe something Rand and his wives might create on the Ogier world, will eventually help the Ogier to return to the WoT world in the next 1st Age.

This would also be a nice allusion to the end of Lord of the Rings. It would fit with RJ’s statement that Rand was like the wind, who first touched everything, and then left like the wind (to paraphrase it).
