I have no idea what it is you think you are arguing, so allow me to explain what happened in the previous posts of this subthread. Zeratul claimed that Elayne's conquest of Cairhien was acceptable because the nobles chose her themselves and not much changed for them. In this respect, Elayne's attempt to enforce stability on Cairhien by claiming the throne is like Colavaere's attempt to enforce stability on Cairhien by claiming the throne. That Colavaere did this through assassination whereas Elayne merely stole the possessions of her subjects in order to bribe her enemies is a superficial distinction regarding the issue.
That is utter and complete bull shit. Elayne sought Cairhein's throne because Rand had made her a legitimate contender who wouldn't have to fight a huge war to get the throne. She wouldn't have bothered, otherwise.
Right, she saw an opportunity to add Cairhien to her possessions easily, and took it. That's what I said, isn't it?
And as for the rest of those nations, Elayne, again, wasn't working with the aim of aggrandizing her power. Which is kind of why some of those (like the Two River and by extension Ghealdan) ended up in her kingdom.

You clearly suck at politics. She was going to use the Cairheinin portion of the Band as a police force against bandits. Not against the regular armies of Cairhein. The whole thing was to have been symbolic, a show of her concern for Cairhein and her ability to offer stability and protection. There was no intention of starting a war, no matter what was in the offing.
Ah yes. The old "send in a foreign army in the name of a foreign ruler as a show of concern" manoeuvre. To deal with bandits. Because Cairhien doesn't have any forces of its own capable of dealing with bandits. That haven't been a real problem in the area since Rand moved in. How could I have missed it? Before I entertain your delusional fantasy further, I'm going to ask you for evidence of this little scenario you cooked up. I highly recommend against going to An Unexpected Letter for that though. It contains that nasty bit about using the Band "as part of my army" when she goes to Cairhien, rather than a "bandit-hunting police force". It also contains that interesting bit about how conquering Cairhien is okay, because "the world needs unity". But under Elayne, of course, not under Rand, because she wouldn't "see Andor become merely another part of the Dragon's empire." But adding Cairhien to Elayne's empire? Not only all right, but necessary.
Incidentally, I'll drop the sarcasm for now but next time you want to try to insult me, please try not to follow it up with imaginary scenarios in violation with established fact. It tends to annoy me.
