Vora's sa'angreal that Egwene used when linked with the Novices is supposed to be a) a sa'angreal b) the most powerful sa'angreal that the Aes Sedai possess, so I would imagine it would be QUITE strong, yet even linked to a dozen novices and going thru the sa'angreal Egwene isn't THAT powerful. She can't obliterate every raken/to'raken instantly on site like say Rand has done to Trollocs/Fades etc.


Raw power doesn't count for much if she doesn't know anything about combat, especially compared with Rand's assimilated AoL knowledge - 12 years of which was outright war with the One Power being used on both sides.

Also, I believe Egwene may have been trying to not kill any of the captured Aes Sedai, Accepted, or Novices (I haven't read TGS since it was released) which would prevent her from going completely Destructicon™.
