I guess what I'm getting at here is that when he's at his most human level, the way he speaks doesn't feel normal.
He's beyond human. He has reached enlightenment. He has passed through the darkness and come out on the other side.
And I loved every passage with Rand in the book.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
