How else should he talk? eucatastrophe Send a noteboard - 08/11/2010 11:26:32 PM
Like he did in books 1 to 3? Like a young boy? Or would you prefer 4 to 6? When he's an unsure lord coming in to his own, his speech, growing defiant, influenced by Lan's Borderland values? Maybe 7 - 11? His prelude to his descent into darkness is very distant, and filled with cold purpose.

If he reverted to any of these, there would be no change.

You mention him crying, but Im unsure whether you view it as a positive or negative display. If it's the latter, why is that may I ask?

How would you have him speak? This is a man who has glimpsed all his lives, and can comprehend the totality of the Wheel of Time. He knows what has to be done.

I think this is a case of much ado about nothing. There were many problems with ToM but Rand wasn't one of them.

He is pretty... placid. Even when he gets "angry" in once scene, it's meh - 09/11/2010 01:14:40 AM 559 Views
