How can you say Perrin's story line wasn't needlessly long? - Edit 1

Faile was captured in one book, spent the entire next book in captivity and then we wasted the entire next book getting her out. That could have been condensed. It should have been condensed.
Similarly, Mat and Tuon have dragged along but with no real purpose.
The White Tower storyline dragged. Every single subplot that has been resolved in the past two books could have been resolved two books sooner. Books 7-8 should have been one book, 9-11 should have been one, then 12-13 could be one and 14 could be one. You'd have ten books, with nice pacing, exciting developments in every book and the series would have been fantastic.
As it is, while of course I'm going to buy the last book just for closure, the entertainment value of the series for me dropped below "cheapest fast food available" after Lord of Chaos, which I truly enjoyed - a lot.
