I think that B Sand has vastly improved the Mat and Talmanes plot lines in this book. The characters are much closer to the way they used to be, even if things were still a little too funny.
Talmanes in particular was off to me in tGS, so having him be less of a closet sarcastic with an awesome sense of humor felt better.
