with a mini reunion of the main characters as the climax IMO.
I was just annoyed that we got so little of Moiraine when we've waited eagerly for her since the "dead and gone" prophecy (what, 7 books ago?).
I am in the minority in that I don't really like Mat that much. His storyline is really neat, and he's super funny but the character really bugs me, and all of his uneventful scenes read the same: tavern, ale, ample bosom, serving girl on knee etc.
I enjoyed him tremendously in ToM, but I thought they milked the cow dead during his stay in Caemlyn. I would have appreciated more Mat and Tuon (very fun to see these two particular characters together).
I actually enjoyed Perrin. I have a feeling that I'll forgive BS for dragging Perrin's story out on my ToM re-reads.
Overall, I enjoyed TGS more than this book. Rand's storyline is so well written (if simple) and the climax (everything from Tam's visit to Veins of Gold) gives me chills.
Egwene vs Mesaana should have been very epic, but after all Egwene did in TGS, it just fell flat. Dunno why, but it did.

The climax of ToM should have been mid-plot

If it sucks as much as Towers of Midnight, I don't care.

I'm not sure but I feel kind of odd knowing that there is only one more to go.

Exactly what I was thinking. His claim of one more book was always bullshit. *NM*
