As someone who loved the tv show Lost, I'm okay with unresolved plot threads that, in the big scheme of things, don't really matter all that much. Not to say that there isn't any point to it; there are certain obscure plotlines or character developments that I would like to see (a flashback to how this all began, from the Bore to the patching of the Bore), but it wouldn't make me hate the book, nor the series. For me, at least, as long as certain characters get what they deserve (I'm looking at you, Egwene) and as long as there is some kind of resolution to the story as a whole (sorry, but "The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed" isn't gonna fit here), I'm fine with it. Then again, I only got into the series a couple years ago, so I haven't really divested two decades into it.
