admittedly i was v tired when i was done and i can just as easily reread the sequence after work, but...at the end of ToM where the man dying in the blight gets 'rescued' by the aiel who end up not being aiel....what were they? they aren't eelfinn are they? the eelfinn have pale eyes, not dark. i feel like i should know who these characters are, but my brain isn't cooperating....
thanks if you know!
also - where the hell are the darkhounds???? they can't find fain in the blight? useless mutts.

My first thought was Aiel dreadlords, they've basically been sending a steady supply of channelers to the DO for generations. I believe that those who wouldn't turn willingly have been turned and that explains the eyes, the description was similar to the way the eyes of some of those in the Black Tower now look.
