Ok one thing to not be full of hate and touching the TP, but why did they swing Rand in the totaaaaalllllly opposite direction. I feel like he's now the Easter Bunny handing out chocolates to everyone. He seems blissfully happy and not even the LB seems to bother him a wit.

The character probably comes across as over-the-top to most, but I did enjoy reading about him.
The happiness aura can be explained fairly... if there was a dark aura, if food spoiled in his presence, and if people were struck silly-scared by him... now that he's at peace, shouldn't it be different?
Also, we're on the penultimate episode here. It would be wrong if he went back to being the Rand from TEotW. Or even the unsure Rand from pre-LoC.
I thought his character fit great in the book, and I think BS is best at writing Rand. I can totally see why people might be turned off by the character. As another poster eloquently put it, "zombie-Rand drifting happily through ToM"
The shift is drastic, but after a revelation like his, wouldn't you say it is somewhat valid?
