I have thought the same thing for years now. Joiya is the only name that I can recall off the top of my head that has been used for two different characters. If Randland were real (I know it's real to me too) I think we would find a lot more people within the same region having the same name. But it's not and we really haven't been introduced to a large percent of the population. Yes, there are a lot of named characters in WOT, but still less than 1% of the population. And yes, it wouldn't be much fun reading a book full of Failes or Elaidas....shudder
