I won't be able to get to it for a few days since I'm in the middle of reading another very good book, but I did hear about Graendal's punishment - I'm hoping it isn't rape, or if it is, I'd at least like to know if that was how Moridin, Osan'gar and Aran'gar were punished for their failures as well to bring some balance to it.
I hear it is rape. I guess Shadar Haran is just not interested in men though? Besides, these punishments are generally for more spectacular failures where the forsaken ended up more helping the side of the Light, not simply failing to fulfill their objectives and dying. Mogy managed to get herself captured in T'A'R', which is supposted to be where she is most powerful, by a woman who was mostly untrained in dreamwalking, using a T'A'R' training ter'angreal, and then proceeded to teach them all kinds of Age of Legends knoweldge. Stuff that is a large part of the Forsaken's advantage. Then Graendal purposefully got another forsaken killed(and in a way that the DO can't even bring him back), and accidentally got another forsaken's mind destroyed.
These failures are well above and beyond what the other forsaken have managed. Even those who have died. I mean, Aginor, through two lives, managed to be completely useless and not accomplish anything, but he hasn't been harmfull to the Shadow either. Balthamel was useless in his first life, but again, not harmful. And somewhat useful as Aran'gar. And Moridin has been extremely helpful to the Shadow over the years of his imprisonment. He personally shattered the ten nations when they were starting to rise back to the former glory of the Age of Legends. He broke Hawkwing's empire, massively weakened the White Tower, created the black ajah, set up the Seanchan to be at odds with the Dragon Reborn when he showed up, and who knows what else. A few screw ups with Rand doesn't make him a liability to the Shadow like Mogy and Graendal have managed to make themselves.

Really? I'd say that is the ultimate way to punish her as it takes away her sexual Power

I would have liked it if she were sent into a vacuole where time had no meaning.

If you're right, the series is saying that sexism is evil. I don't see a problem with that. *NM*
