Thats a pretty harsh judgement for something we have absolutely no way of knowing if it is true or not. Yes, some greens sit around working politics in the Tower. Since most of our Aes Sedai POVs are in the tower or the rebel group, of course these are the ones we see. But we have no idea where most of them are...we never get numbers of who is in the tower and who is out. We know that a fully third of the sisters are neither in the Tower, nor with the rebel group. This is after many sisters who generally stay out of the Tower for long periods come in to try and deal with the reunification of the Tower. So at any given time, over half of the aes sedai are out of the Tower. And we know that there ARE frequently aes sedai up in the borderlands helping with the shadowspawn. Thats why the borderlanders respect Aes Sedai. Because they are frequently up helping them.

You are unfortunately basing your opinion on the fact that we have seen all too much of a small number of aes sedai who are power hungry like Elaida. Of course these would be the ones who are at the center of power, as is always the case. But many other Aes Sedai do what they can to help in the way they see is best. Some of these purposes have been perverted by the Black Ajah, but the majority of the Aes Sedai are at least trying. We have examples of this too, such as Moiraine, Cadsuane, Siuan, Pevara, and plenty more that you seem to be ignoring.

They are arrogant about it, and think they know best, but you would be too if you were supernaturally powered and older than everyone else you meet.

You are pointing out the worst of the aes sedai, but absolutely ignoring the positive traits. They, like everyone else, are a flawed group, but there is certainly some good there. Hopefully that will be able to flourish now that the Black Ajah is gone.
