I found an independent book store 45 minutes from my house that sold the book to me a day early last year. just a day before simply because I had them order it so late.

I figured this time around I would have them place an order for me a month in advance assuming they'd sell it to me again as soon as they got it.

I was right. I was initially told that she could order it for me but she probably wouldnt get it until the 2nd. She then said that sometimes those release dates are fluid and would call me when it came in.

I picked my book up yesterday morning and have burned through a third of it. It will be great being finished with the book before most others have even gotten a hold of it. Makes me feel all special and set apart. lol

What I did to find this indy bookstore willing to sell it to me early was I just started calling around. I started calling all bookstores within a 50 mile radius of me. I had every one of them order me a copy. Finally one called and said it was ready for pick up. I cancelled my requests with the rest of them. And now they have my business as long as they can get me early copies. Poor "other bookstores" I know since I had them order it. But I "HAD" to get it early. And I did. Shady? I agree.
