Aren't reports of Mesaana's "death" greatly exaggerated? Don't get me wrong, I understand that she is out of action, perhaps permanently, since her mind was destroyed somehow, but she is still alive strictly speaking. It almost sounds like she was a person who had a mindtrap placed on them that was broken...still living, but the personality was destroyed. Or someone who encountered Machin Shin and lost their soul but not their life. I know neither of these things happened, but the situation of having her mind destroyed is analogous I think. Or did Egghead order Mesaana's execution even though she is incapacitated?
