so you think it made the hole in the boat back in time to allow the water into the boat

Boat sunk because balefire took out boatmen and part of the boat. Since it took out the boatmen, the boat is in position were it was minutes before, because the actions of boatmen moved the boat. Since it made a hole in the boat, the water filled it with amount it supposed to fill in these minutes.
this supports my side, you just agreed that the balefire but a hole in the boat at the same time the balefire burned the oarsmen back to, that is why the boat instantly fills with water, instead of filling with water after the transition. This shows that the parts of the boat that were hit with the balefire were taken out back in time, just like the boatsmen.
If it didn't do this the water would not start to fill the boat until the balefire event. While the boat moved back in the water, due to not being pushed by the boatmen, the holes in the boat would not exist before the balefire event.
again I'll quote the relevant line.
Because the slice from the boat's center had gone at the same time the boatmen had died, the river had had minutes to rush in.
This is directly from the text of the book. This is how balefire works. It directly states the the wood of the boat was removed from time to the same amount as the boatmen. I do not see how this can be taken any other way.
Please explain why you think what you do and provide some evidence to support your case. Otherwise you are just making crap up to fit your own interpretation.
I beleive it wouldn't, all it would do is to make a hole in the floor.
Yes, but WHY? your ignoring text, and quotes from Brandon Sanderson, without providing any evidence to support your view.

Seems pretty obvious to me that she released it (and was holding it) before the BF hit it

Balefire's reversal of actions taken only works on living things that can perform said actions.

Agreed. I think Graendal's weave is only undone if the BF hits her, not the gateway *NM*

It is true. Objects do not have threads that can be affected by balefire.

sceen=scene, yes? And I didn't mean confusing to me. I meant to others. It's always been clear to me

Thank you for reminding us of the scene, but it doesn't sell me completely.
