I never really understood this part of the story. I mean, I suppose if their entire plan was to convert him to the shadow, then that's just fine, but it always seemed a little silly to me. Also, when Ishy fought Rand in the first two books, why didn't he ever use the one power? I mean, if I were honestly trying to kill the dude, I'd just blow him up. Maybe I'm really a moron and missing something here. If so, please tell me, because this really ruins my whole suspension of disbelief deal.
if the hero was killed off that early on? caddy would still be in retirement. siuan would still be amyrilin. his harem wouldn't exist and the aiel would've stayed in the waste. which means that moirane would still be in randland and the faile storyline would non existant....
