Masema - a true believer (the most dangerous type) - Had one of the Forsaken (I would guess Demandred) manipulating him by presenting themselves as Rand and issuing orders. As a true believer, he didn't question the appearance, or what they told him. It didn't help that he started out as being more than a bit crazy.
Aram, fell into the clutches of the warped Masema after suffering several horrible traumas in short order. Judging by his past as a ladies man, I would guess that he has a thing for Faile and has slowly allowed himself to be convinced that Perrin is the devil and that Faile needs to be rescued from him (Thus allowing Aram to win the heart of Faile).

Was Aram a parallel to Masema?

If "parallel" means "lover," I'd say yes. Most good dancers are bi, & Aram is supposedly great
