IIRC... Etzel Send a noteboard - 12/10/2010 07:58:39 PM
My Rand will fake his death-theory was posted at the WoTmania Theory Post (which is gone now). Unfortunately, I didn't seem to have it anymore.

Basically, the main clues are that the Aelfinn's answers are riddles, which Rand has to figure out, and don't have to be taken literally. Then we also have Egwene's Dream of Logain stepping about a paper puppet of Rand, which strongly speaks for this idea. The same applies to the wording that Alivia won't kill Rand but will help him to die. Besides that, there are some links to legends of our time, where the hero fakes his death or is supposed to be dead while he actually is still alive.

I just don't see that as Nynaeve's "area of expertise" - 13/10/2010 10:09:39 PM 690 Views
Nynaeve was the one who witnessed the weave, not Egwene. - 14/10/2010 12:38:14 AM 672 Views

There's also the "ripped from TAR after death" theory, ala Birgitte (re how Rand lives again). - 12/10/2010 04:37:26 PM 753 Views

I don't think it is necessary that Rand be a public figure as Elayne's husband. - 12/10/2010 05:08:10 PM 648 Views
