Personally, I like and can identify with the vast majority of characters in WoT, even those who made their first appearance in books 7 and 8. I don't think I can fully understand your approach to the series; this is especially true, since Rand is in only about 1/4 of the series. How could you have lasted this long?
That's strange to me, as well. It seems like there wouldn't be much of the story left to enjoy if you only had one favorite out of such a large cast.
